Many woman are confused when it comes to understanding what drives a man. In 2007, Duff began dating NHL player Mike Comrie. Three years later in a surprise announcement on February 19, 2010, Duff and Comrie announced their engagement. The couple married on August 14, 2010 in Santa Barbara, California. The first key to winning in the dating game is to avoid complicated and overtaxing relationships and situations that are more work than pleasure. Understand that although you may be able to handle it right now, in the long run a complicated relationship will soon get unbearable and result in burnout. Many people have entering into complicated situations thinking that they can handle it only to find later that it was too much for them to maintain. Be smart and KISS. It will keep you from wasting your energy and time on a unmaintainable relationship.

Be willing to take a lick every now and then. In any dating relationship you are going to have to occasionally take some hard knocks, some rejections and some disappointments.  That’s all part of finding your soulmate.  Be willing to take a lick for the sake of the relationship and keep on moving.  Don’t let a small misunderstanding or a minor offense cause you to give up.  Take the lick, and keep on ticking. Keep the good thoughts in the forefront of your mind and never give the bad thoughts a chance to grow roots in your garden of your mind. These seeds will grow unwanted weeds of depression, anger, rage, violence, etc.. When adversity hits in your dating relationships, learn to suck it up and move past it. Don’t allow yourself to dwell in the moment.  Let it go, turn it loose, and keep moving.

Bite the bullet and go at it again. To be successful, you can’t let bad past experiences stop you from pursuing future opportunities.  Be resilient and go at it again.
